Every 2 months, Boat History Report compiles the number of new titles being issued in Florida, and compares them to previous months and years. These graphs and statistics include both new boat sales and pre-owned boats being sold and titled to new owners. These numbers reflect the number of boat sales taking place in Florida and correlate to industry trends for boat sales nationwide.

December 2022 Boat Stats

In December 2022, the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida showed a 5.67% YOY decrease from 2021.  While down from 2021, when compared to 2019, there was an increase of 18.85%.  For 2022 as a whole, new boat titles were down 9.25% compared to 2021. 

October and November 2022 Boat Stats

The past two months show a YOY decrease in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida.  The results for October and November are -21.70% and -14.04%, respectively.  While these figures are both down from 2021, when compared to 2019, there was a decrease of 9.62% in October and an increase of 6.29% in November.  For 2022 as a whole, new boat titles were down 9.49%. 

September 2022 Boat Stats

September shows a YOY decrease in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida, at -17.01%, with a YTD change of -8.10% over 2021.  While these figures are down from 2021, there is an increase of 14.74% for September, when compared to pre-pandemic numbers from 2019.

July and August 2022 Boat Stats

The past two months show a slight YOY change in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida. The results for July and August are -3.94% and 0.22%, respectively, with a YTD change of -7.20% over 2021. While these figures are mostly down or flat from 2021, there is only a slight decrease of -1.32% for July and an increase of 17.08% for August, when compared to pre-pandemic numbers from 2019.

May and June 2022 Boat Stats

As of June 2022, 119,831 boats have been sold and titled in Florida in 2022.

The past two months show a YOY decrease in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida.  The results for May and June are -3.91% and -9.09%, respectively, with a YTD change of -8.78% over 2021.  While these figures are down from 2021, there is an increase of 1.06% and 9.73% for May and June, respectively, when compared to pre-pandemic numbers from 2019. 

March and April 2022 Boat Stats

The past two months show a YOY decrease in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida.  The results for March and April are -13.17% and -12.61%, respectively, with a YTD change of -10.09% over 2021.  While these figures are down from 2021, there is an increase of 11.06% and 4.40% for March and April, respectively, when compared to pre-pandemic numbers from 2019.

The past two months show a YOY decrease in the number of new boat titles being issued in Florida.  The results for January and February are -1.65% and -9.47%, respectively, with a YTD change of -5.77% over 2021.
